Welcome to the Heart of Your Adventure website! We are located in Farmville/Prince Edward County, Virginia.
Our mission is to help those visiting Farmville/Prince Edward County to enjoy their stay, and enjoy the history located within the region. The Town of Farmville is located within Prince Edward County and is located 1 hour and 15 minutes west of Richmond, Virginia.

Farmville/Prince Edward County is known for being the Heart of Virginia. The County was formed in 1754. Farmville was founded in 1798 . The whole region is thriving and home to two local colleges–Longwood University and Hampden-Sydney College. Longwood University was founded in 1839 and was known as the Farmville Female Seminary; it is also known as the mother of four founding sororities: Alpha Sigma Alpha, Sigma Sigma Sigma, Kappa Delta and Zeta Tau Alpha. Hampden-Sydney College was the last college in America formed under the British Crown in 1775. Patrick Henry is one of the founding fathers of this old institution.
There are many exciting places to visit while in Farmville/Prince Edward County such as venturing off at the High Bridge Trail, First Friday Festival beginning in May, places downtown etc.
